How To Check if Your Squarespace Website Is Down

The last thing you want is for your Squarespace website to go down. Unfortunately it does happen sometimes and you need to be able to quickly work out what the problem is.

There are tons of reasons why a Squarespace website may go down, you might have a problem with your hosting or you might have simply let your subscription lapse.

Sometimes though it will be because Squarespace itself is down.

To find out if the problem is being caused by Squarespace being down, you can head to status.squarespace.com

Here you’ll be able to see the status of all of Squarespace’s systems, such as domains, commerce, site loading, site editing and email marketing.

If everything is running OK it will be green, if there are some issues it will be orange and if there’s a major problem causing Squarespace to be down it will show red.

You can track each element over the past 90 days to see how its been performing too, helping you to understand any historical issues too.
