How to Create an Email on Squarespace

Squarespace's email campaigns have become increasingly sophisticated, making them an excellent tool for both personal and business purposes. 

Whether you're new to digital marketing or a veteran looking to use Squarespace, understanding how to send an email from your marketing dashboard is essential.

To create an email on Squarespace you need to head to the marketing dashboard by navigating to Marketing > Email Campaigns.

To create your email select Create and you’ll be presented with a selection of email types to choose from, including blast, welcome, or thank you emails. 

Squarespace offers a variety of templates for your emails. You can either start with a blank canvas or use previously made templates. 

Once you’ve chosen your template you can customize it by adding your own text, adjusting the header, and changing images as needed. 

The customization tools for Squarespace emails work in the same way as the tools you have for Squarespace pages. 

You can add a variety of different sections to your emails such as text, images, buttons, and product listings, to discount code blocks.

For a sales-driven email, you can add specific product listings and discount codes. This can entice recipients to return to your site. You can set limits on discount usage to prevent misuse, such as one-time use per customer. All of this can be done in the sidebar.

Here you can also determine when and why your email will be sent. For instance, you can automate thank-you emails for any store or digital product purchase by setting the trigger to send immediately after a purchase.

Before you can send any email, you’ll need to verify your email address through Squarespace's verification process.

Once you’ve sent your email don’t forget to monitor how well it performs. Squarespace provides various insights including how many emails were sent, delivery rates, open rates, and clicks. 

And there we have it, you’ve created an email on Squarespace! Creating and managing an email campaign on Squarespace is a straightforward, yet powerful way of driving engagement with your audience.
