How to Opt Out of Squarespace Fluid Engine

While I love Fluid Engine on Squarespace, I know not everyone feels the same way.

If you are dead set on not wanting to use Fluid Engine on Squarespace, and instead want to stick with the classic drag and drop editor, then there is a way to opt out and disable it.

Keep reading to find out how…

Check out the YouTube video below 👇

Head to Settings > Squarespace Labs > Circle Labs and here you’ll be able to see that Fluid Engine is toggled on.

Firstly you need to untoggle Fluid Engine in order to turn it off and then toggle “Fluid Engine Opt Out” on.

Hit save and you’ll have disabled Fluid Engine on your Squarespace edit dashboard.

Once you’ve changed the settings, you won’t be given the choice to upgrade your sections to Fluid Engine when editing your website. If you do decide you want to go back to using Fluid Engine, you’ll need to head to the settings and toggle it back on (and toggle off the “Fluid Engine Opt Out” option).
